Ugh I want to do the scene from Batman, where he flies his Batplane above the clouds and in front of the moon (showing a batsign) but I can't find any reference pic *sniff*

Edit: Isn't that sweet, YouTube helped me out a bit here..

Well off to work then

Thinking about doing this scene:

Gonna hopefully use no more than 6 colours.

WIP 1:

Basically, I just wanna know if you think what I'm doing is a poor approach, obviously this is VERY rough atm. :)

I want to do the end of Unbreakable, when their hands touch. I was thinking of adding my own ideas to the scene, to make it more of a piece of 'art'. Is that allowed? If it's just a copy of a cut scene it'd be too boring for me.

Well, when thinking up the challenge, I had on my mind only movies with live actors, not the animated ones. I think it should stay this way! Picturing animated movies would give you too much free space and it wouldn't be as challenging as it is now! So the answer is NO, NOT THE ANIMATED MOVIES! ONLY THE ONES WITH LIVE ACTORS! (and the already dead ones as well, you know what I mean xD)

I intended that the scene should be a copy of an existing scene, but not necessarily a copy of some reference picture. If you can picture the scene in your own way and it's still recognisable on the first sight, then it's ok!

Well, that made it significantly harder to pick a movie; most of my favourites are old Disney movies. :P

So, Pride and Prejudice it is.  The BBC version, that is.  I bet I'll regret choosing this scene before I'm done...

Might enter this one, even though I don't like very many movies.

If animation had been allowed, I would totally have done the final scene of the Escaflowne movie. >:

This is a scene from a film that uses some CGI, but all shots are from real, so it's not animation.

Wow, this challenge made me (finally) join PixelJoint and not just lurk around the galleries and read other people's posts. :O

For some reason i feel the urge to do a scene from The Faculty. Maby the one in the begining where the principle is trying to escape the school, or towards the end with naked Mary-Anne walking through the locker room. I dno, i'd have to watch the movie again and i'm pushing the deadline. Pitty there isn't any good clips from it on youtube. xP

So I was thinking that this challenge is the perfect time to get the all elusive 'lens flare' into pixelart without getting flamed for it. I'm now thinking I have to ditch my Gone with the Wind and start a Blade Runner

I decided to challenge myself quite a bit and do a scene from the labyrinth.  I love that movie.  The visuals are really great.  Anyway, I finished it today.  What do you think?  I'm alittle worried about someone thinking I copied it, like Leroy   Does anything look like it needs fixed or changed?

Here's something I've been working on for the last few hours in and out.

Can you guess the movie? ;)
I was going to do something from the newer Resident Evil but nothing really stood out to me that might be good pixel art. It's still a W.I.P so no guarantees on a B.G or any of it for that matter. But ill update soon. Tell me what you think.

Update:
I think I'm done with this, not much more I can do with it because of color limitations but yeah. Pretty sure I'll be submitting it soon.

Oh and here's the Ref.

What I find hard to believe is how some one could possibly get those lines so exact without first tracing them. Not accusing anyone for anything, I'm just wondering. I did my piece as well as I can, and still not even close.

Uhmmm, thanks? I did trace just a little around the mouth and the eyebrows to get them in the right place. (*/ban/*)

I just like that tone of green, - I like to think that it's my tradermark, - AND I couldn't be bothered to make a background.
