Arpo78, the max canvas size is 200x200. So that means the largest unmirrored section you can have is 100x100 (nothing more than 100 for either the height or the width) . Once you mirror horizontally and paste into place, and mirror vertically and paste into place, it should be 200x200. You can technically work with anything smaller than 100x100 if you like, though (for example you can work with 75x75 chunks and after mirroring and pasting your final piece should be 150x150).

Arpo78 (Level 3 Sergeant) @ 9/25/2013 16:07

if the canvas is 200x200 and you guys are talking about 100x100 that would mean that it would be a 2 side image.
cuz a 50x50 would be 4 sides if you get what i mean.

So wich one is it?

>_> Oh, whoops, yeah 100 x 100 is what I meant. Serves me right for just parroting someone else's numbers.

Mr.Fahrenheit (Level 6 Serial Killer) @ 9/24/2013 03:11

Haha yeah, now that you mention it wouldn't it be 4 100x100 squares? Though it technically could be 50x50 because the max is 200x200.

Muxaun (Level 4 Deputy) @ 9/24/2013 01:39

I don't get why you guys are talking about 50x50 canvas. It is 100x100 actually. Or did I miss something important?

skamocore (Level 11 CEO) @ 9/23/2013 21:26

I believe the challenge was intended to essentially mean pixeling a (max) 50 x 50 area and flipping/rotating.

AlexHW (Level 5 Detective) @ 9/23/2013 19:28

Symmetrical doesn't equate to mirrored. A human body is symmetrical, yet the sides aren't mirror images. Symmetry can be applied to more than just form, so I assume it's up to how you interpret symmetry and how creative you are.

EdJr (Level 8 Shodan) @ 9/23/2013 18:02

Well, I'd say this is allowed anyway. The question is: Is that what the participants must do? I mean, it would be nicer if both ways (purely mirrored / mirrored, but with slight differences, or even "mirrored by hand") were accepted.

Arpo78 (Level 3 Sergeant) @ 9/23/2013 17:54

I don't get it. how i see it is I Make something 50x50 and then just spread it in a 200x200 canvas, right?

shampoop (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 9/23/2013 13:57

Seems like a good challenge for Graindolium. (If he was still around)

tomic (Level 11 Admiral) @ 9/23/2013 12:56

not getting it. sounds like pixeling one 50x50 corner and then flip/copy+paste it to the remaining 3 quadrants.. i'll wait for the first example pics :)
